The main purpose of this study is to analyze the values and results of one year's participation of the Sanger School in a three-year Texas Health Education Program (Texas Extended School and Community Health Program) in order to determine an adequate basis for making recommendations for the further development of this program.

"The problem of this thesis is to determine through survey and comparative study the effect of the activity program of Denton's El Centro, the youth center, on the youth of the City of Denton...methods of operation and internal organization of youth centers, the purpose of the centers and the results of some of the activities are outlined. Members of the Denton youth center were interviewed; the information gained from the interviews was recorded on prepared questionnaires. Various types of activities at Denton's youth center are discussed. The study also attempts to reveal by means of tables those activities which are more important to the male youth of Denton. The intent and purposes of this study are (1) to discover the extent of the guidance needs and problems which confront the women students in North Texas State Teachers College and the extent to which the students are adjusting and developing into normal and socially effective individuals; (2) to interpret the data collected from the individual questionnaires in order that plans for a more adequate and effective guidance program may be made, and to offer a functional basis for individual and group guidance; and (3) to measure their present needs and problems in relation to personal and social adjustments as individuals and as groups.

The concerted efforts made in this experiment were telling, reading, and dramatizing stories, poems, and songs of responsibility; discussing of stories, poems, songs, and filmstrips of responsibility; the assigning of definite classroom responsibility; and the assigning of definite study responsibility. This study attempts to answer the question, how much change, positive or negative, will occur in group responsibility as a result of the above-mentioned efforts?
The problem of this thesis is to make a comparative analysis of the student body of North Texas State Teachers College during the fall semester of the 1942-43 session. "The problem of this thesis is a comparative study of the educational and economic status of fifty government-aided men in Denton, Texas and fifty employed laborers in the same city. The term 'government-aided men' refers to men who receive direct aid from Federal relief in order to live and to support their dependents. Many are members of the CCC camp; but others receive their aid from the old-age pension fund, from W.P.A. projects, or other Federal organizations. Laborers are interpreted as men who do not hold 'white-collared' jobs...educational status is used to indicate the highest grade completed in school...the term economic status means the income of the men under consideration..This study is confined to certain men in Denton, Texas, and deals with only male whites between the ages of 21 and 65 years. The problem is not concerned with what the state should do or should not do, nor does it lead to any solution of existing conditions. It is only hoped that the findings may shed some light on whether or not the educational and economic status of these men under consideration appear to have any correlation." --leaves 1-4.

The purpose of this study is to discover through the use of the descriptive evaluation technique information about children's reading which may be of value as suggestions for classroom teachers who teach reading in the intermediate level. The purpose of the study was to determine the practicality of the theory that the teacher's highest function is to help each pupil to develop an agreeable, liberated, concordant, dynamic personality.
