John Young.
"The men that designed Thornton Freeway
never figured on a coverd-.wagon. So in the interest
of safety, you'd better take another route." The
travelers, Leon Gillis and his niece (heh heh), Eileen
Stevens, are enroute to Big Town Shopping Center. To
do some shopping? Nope. The Big Town people believe
their customers might like to see a covered wagon, and
talk with the passengers about their travels. Leon
says he's been on the road since 1961. His six child.

back in Virginia, his home state. Eileen takes care of
the cooking while Leon handles the horses. They came
to Dallas from Mexico. And Leon says he's going to
drive his wagon all the way to Montreal, Canada, for
"Expo 67."THINGS AFTER HER
Leon says he and his family have covered 44 states in
the wagon, along with several foreign countries, in-
cluding France, Holland, Germany, Poland and Russia.(MORE)
