TWIST
The T.S.-A Motor Sports Show, which runs through Sunday at
Fair Park in Dallas, features cars of every size, shape,
and horsepower. But it takes more than cars to attract
crowds these days. It takes, for instance, a clown
named Toppe, doing the Twist with a pretty girl, Betty
Smith. Betty is a contender for the title of Miss USA.A
Sports Show, which will be decided Sunday night.
The twist music is provided by a group known as theMUSICIANS
EKUnpredictables.
And speaking of things unpredictable, the motor show is
featuring an underwater twist contest. Anyone who feels
the urge may take a turn with Tommy Browning, represen-
tative of a firm which handles skin diving eaquiptment.
Tommy's partner is Betty Smith, who has deserted her
clown to try this cooler version. Equipment and fiE
contestants,
instructions are furnished at no cost to U
and prizes are awarded nightly for N the top twisters.
Last night, there was a scarcity of candidates.CROWD
