Dear Marilyn,
Congratulations! We are delighted to officially notify you of your selection as a 2000-
2001 Marcus Fellow. Each group of Marcus Fellows has brought valuable knowledge
and experience to the program. As much as the Marcus Fellowship will contribute to your
professional development and advancement, we know that your year at UNT will benefit
the art education community of North Texas. The members of the Marcus Fellows VI
include:

At the end of the summer there will be two events that will signify the beginning of your
Fellowship experience. On August 18 a luncheon will be held in your honor at the UNT
Student Union. You should expect to find an interesting group of invited guests.
Those attending may include representatives of the Marcus Foundation, UNT dignitaries,
the Art Education faculty, the North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts
(NTIEVA) staff, and previous Marcus Fellows. Preceding the luncheon, plan on
attending an orientation meeting in Room 309 of Marquis Hall in the North Texas
Institute boardroom. We will notify you of the room for the luncheon and the times for
both events later in the summer.
We look forward to working with you throughout the Fellowship year. Should any
questions arise as you make your transition to UNT, don't hesitate to call us. Good luck
