The impact of multifactorial stress combination on plant growth and survival

Description: Article studying seedlings of wild-type and different mutants of Arabidopsis thaliana plants subjected to a multifactorial stress combination of six different stresses, each applied at a low level, and their survival, physiological and molecular responses. Findings reveal that further polluting our environment could result in higher complexities of multifactorial stress combinations that in turn could drive a critical decline in plant growth and survival.

Ribulose-1,5-Bisphosphate Carboxylase/Oxygenase (RubisCO) Is Essential for Growth of the Methanotroph Methylococcus capsulatus Strain Bath

Description: This article demonstrates that shows both CO2 and RubisCO are essential for M. capsulatus Bath growth. CO2 tracing experiments supported that RubisCO mediates CO2 fixation and that a noncanonical Calvin cycle is active in this organism. Extracting Information on Rocky Desertification from Satellite Images: A Comparative Study

Description: This article uses three common open-access satellite image datasets (Sentinel-2B, Landsat-8, and Gaofen-6) for extracting information on rocky desertification in a typical karst region (Guangnan County, Yunnan) of southwest China, using three machine-learning algorithms implemented in the Python programming language: random forest (RF), bagged decision tree (BDT), and extremely randomized trees (ERT).
