Description: North Dakota lignite-fired power plants have shown a limited ability to control mercury emissions in currently installed electrostatic precipitators (ESPs), dry scrubbers, and wet scrubbers (1). Investigation of Fly Ash and Activated Carbon Obtained From Pulverized Coal Boilers Annual Report

Description: One of the techniques for Hg capture in coal-fired boilers involves injection of activated carbon (AC) into the boiler downstream of the air preheater.
