Description: Sankhil Shetphong of Thamlapokpi sings and explains the meaning of the folk song Reite Penang and “Khuungpaar Laa”. This is a story of how a Lamkang man who was a an expert hunter was captured and enslaved by the Kukis. When they planned to kill him, he was encouraged by his wife to escape. A tiger helped him cross the river and eventually return home to be united with his children.
