Influence of Extraneous Particles on the Thermodynamic Relations and the Speed of Second Sound in Helium II

Description: Extraneous particles, contained in Helium II, come into its normal part. Since the normal part of helium II, bound with phonons and rotons, quickly diminishes with decreasing temperature, and the contributions of the extraneous particles in the normal part, with decreasing temperatures does not decrease (but further increases).

Investigation of Proportional Counters

Description: The author determines in this work the dependence of the coefficient of gaseous amplification on the place of incidence of the ionizing particles in the counter when the counter is filled with various gases.

Isotope-Concentration through Ion-Migration in Water-Solution, Liquefaction, and Solid Phase

Description: Through comparison of experiments run by various scientists a researcher can clearly see the relation between the velocities of the ion-migrations of the isotopes is greater in the case of liquefied state than in the case of water solutions.

The Isotopic Abundance Ratio of Carbon in Meteorites

Description: The isotopic composition of chemical elements is determined by the nuclear process by which they are formed. To a certain extent, this abundance ratio is affected by all of the primary nucleogenetic processes involved in the formation of the substance in question.

The Isotopic Conposition of the Oxygen of Carbonates as a Function of Temperature

Description: With the ubiquity of oxygen in the earth's crust and the accuracy with which differences in the isotopic composition of naturally occurring oxygen have been measured, oxygen isotopes are often used as indicators in studying the mechanism of natural processes

The Kinetics of Heterogeneous Exchange Reactions

Description: The change of position between one chemically bound atom and another is designated as an exchange reaction. Time laws for these three processes in the case of reversible reactions are derived and discussed

Measurement of Vapour Pressure of Solutions of He3 and He4

Description: Earlier investigations revealed results of the study of properties of solutions of He3 in He4. the authors investigate the concentration of He3 for the application of Raoult's law.

Measuring the Partial Beta-Spectrum of ThB by the Method of Coincidences with the Aid of a Double Beta-Spectrometer

Description: The atomic nuclei which emerge as a result of beta-decay are usually found in excited states, which are made known by the fact that beta-decay is accompanied by the emission of gamma-rays. The elementary spectra are frequently separated by resolving the proper Fermi graph into separate linear sections. This method, however, is not particularly reliable or accurate. Therefore, it would be desirable to measure the elementary beta-spectra directly.
