My name is Laimwn Boro and I am from Bwigriguri village
I am 30 years old. We are facing lots of difficulties sending our children to schools their learning has been disruptE
hey had to skipped their classes and even during exams we are not able to take them for their test
Since my marriage in to this village, I have been experiencing these problems
Carrying my infant child we had to stay in relief camp where I encounterd hardship
Even now also the same hardships our children are experiencing
My husband work as a wage labourer and we rely on his earnings to get by and we do no have a ration card
For our children and their better oppurtunities as well as convenient travel we want the bidge to be set up
Do you need to relocate whenever there is a flood?
Yes we have to relocate as the water level rises upto the waist and sometimes inside the house water can reach u

How is your family affected by the flood?
Water enter inside the house and damage the wall, livestocks are affected and the government does not provide
any assistance or support
Nor they come to visit us.
Our only wish is the bridge to be set up at the earliest.
Whatever struggles and hardships we have gone through, we do not want our kids to experience all that. We desi
better oppurtunities and brighter future for our kids.
We want a convenient and easy accessibility to travel

How are you trying to cope up with the losses?
If the government could support us in any way, it would be really beneficial. If not, they could at least build a bridg
Does the flood happen every year or occassionally?
yes, it happens every year during the monsoon
How many times do you have to relocate?
Sometimes twice thrice in a year, we get tired of relocating and residing elsewhere in relief camps
Did the villagers take any preventive measures to stop flood?
As an ordinary workers who live off of the wages they earn from their jobs, we are unable to make any decisions.
