Description

The objective of this project is to apply the gravel bucket pressure letdown concept to a stream of hot, gas-borne ash, under conditions similar to those found in a pressurized fluidized-bed combustor, where the system pressure is dissipated across a packed or partially fluidized bed of coarsely crushed rock. A second objective is to use the data collected during testing to develop a mathematical model which can be used to predict pressure drop in a gravel bucket device. Description
