On October 10,1987, the SLC ceased commissioning activities to move the Mark II detector into the beam line for the spring physics run. The planned shutdown is for a period of 13 weeks. In this paper, the various subsystems and their status as of October 10, 1987 are briefly discussed. 3 refs., 4 figs., 1 tab.
