Description

Adapted and abridged version of Heidi written by Johanna Spyri and illustrated by Steffie Lerch. The front cover is an illustration of Heidi standing in a grassy field dotted with flowers. In one hand she is holding a small bouquet of flowers in one hand behind her back with her other hand held over her eyes. At the back of the field is is a brown house. Behind the house is the sun on the horizon next to some mountains. The title page has the title of the book, the author's and illustrator's names and the name of the publishing company. In the center of the page is another illustration. It shows Heidi lying in a field with flowers and plants feeding a goat some grass. Resting on one of the plants is a bird. On the inside of the book are more colored illustrations. The first page has a full page and a half illustration of Heidi with her aunt, Dete, walking down a road leading up to a house. Outside of the house is a field of hay lined by a fence and tall evergreen trees behind the house. In the background are more trees and mountains. Other illustrations are smaller and include Heidi with her grandfather, Dete, and a piece of cloth with some bread rolls.
