Hydrogeochemical and Stream Sediment Reconnaissance Basic Data for Preston Quadrangle, Wyoming; Idaho

Description: Abstract: Field and laboratory data are presented for 410 water samples and 702 sediment samples from the Preston Quadrangle, Wyoming; Idaho. Uranium values have been reported by Los Alamos National Laboratory in Report GJBX-70(78). The samples were collected by Los Alamos National Laboratory; laboratory analysis and data reporting were performed by the Uranium Resource Evaluation Project at Oak Ridge, Tennessee.

Description: From Purpose and Scope: "The Dubois Quadrangle, Idaho and Montana (Fig. 1), was studied to identify geologic environments and delineate areas favorable for uranium deposits. These reports summarized field observations and contained preliminary evaluations of geologic environments for uranium deposition. The identification of environments favorable for uranium deposition involved collection and interpretation of radiometric, geochemical, and geologic data."
