Direct and Indirect Immunofluorescence Staining of Fecal Streptococci for Rapid Assessment of Water Quality

Description: Immunofluorescence (IF) techniques were employed in an attempt to develop a rapid test for the identification of fecal streptococci. Fresh isolates were obtained from river waters and raw sewage. Identification to species were made by the conventional physiological, biochemical, and serological tests.
