Coherence Properties of Individual Femtosecond Pulses of an X-ray Free-Electron Laser

Description: Measurements of the spatial and temporal coherence of single, femtosecond x-ray pulses generated by the first hard x-ray free-electron laser, the Linac Coherent Light Source, are presented. Cosmological Imprints of a Generalized Chaplygin Gas Model for the Early Universe

Description: We propose a phenomenological model for the early universe where there is a smooth transition between an early quintessence phase and a radiation-dominated era.
