Offrande

Description: Recording of Javier Alvarez's Offrande. Offrande is a piece in four short tableaux which have in common sound materials coming only from two series of metallic drums, but which differ in the way of interfering with the electroacoustic elements. Using different techniques produce an ideal structural scheme for establishing a relationship between "live" and electroacoustic sounds.

Description: Recording of Martin Stig Andersen's Sleepdriver. This work was inspired by night drivers and commissioned by the Ton Bruynèl Foundation in Netherlands. It premiered at the International Gaudeamus Music Week 2004 in Amsterdam.

Ether

Description: Recording of Elizabeth Anderson's Ether. This is an octophonic electroacoustic work and was commissioned by Musique & Recherches in Belgium. The sound samples used were created both during a residency at the "Centre de Création Musicale Iannis Xenakis" as well as sounds from a trip to Isreal. The composer dedicates this work to victims of the 9/11 attacks.

Les forges de l'invisible

Description: Recording of Elizabeth Anderson's Les forges de l'invisible. This is an octophonic electroacoustic work in two movements that was inspired by the 18th century English poet, William Blake, who included dual imagery in many of his writings. The composer tried to include this concept of duality in her piece. Sample recordings of Thomas Gardner playing his cello were also used as a base for sound exploration.

Neon

Description: Recording of Elizabeth Anderson's Neon. This work is the third and final piece in a cycle of works that are based on the book "Owning your own shadow - Understanding the dark side of the psyche" by Robert A. Johnson. In this piece, the microcosm of human consciousness is elevated to an environmental scale; the creation of the divine takes shape in the exterior world when opposites touch.

Description: Recording of Jadel Andreetto's 20 000 lieux around il centro del Welt. This work was inspired by Jules Verne. During a sleepless night, the composer read a variety of chapters from Verne's books and began playing basses, guitars, and their laptop. These improvisations created the framework of the finished piece.
