Evocations I

Description: Recording of José R. Sosaya Wekselman's Evocations I. This work is made up of various acoustical sounds all attributed to the environment of the composer when creating this piece. This includes family voices, airports, domestic sounds, etc. The composer has meant for these sounds to create their own evolutionary musical structure rather than be heavily manipulated. Paganini au Caire

Description: Recording of Dieter Kaufmann's Paganini au Caire. This recording consists of sounds from the composer's trip to Cairo in 1997 as well as segments from the 1st violin concerto by Niccol Paganini. The Paganini recordings are performed by Elena Denisova and 512 virtual violinists. This piece was produced at the ELAK Institute of the University of Vienna Music on 8 tracks, stereo version. The composer attributes this recording to his fascination with the dialogue between nature and culture.
