Gran became a father. He also says that one member of the Robberts family is building a grist and sawmill at Edgefield Junction. Frank Wilson is headed to Texas. He ends by relating that the weather is dry and what crops have been planted.

Description: Letter from Matilda Dodd to Mary and Charles B. Moore. She starts off the letter by giving an update on the weather. Recent illnesses among friend and family and an outbreak of typhoid are discussed. She mentions work on a rail road and Tobe's electioneering for the Post Office. Willie McGee wrote a page of the letter in which he writes about school and gives news of his friends and family activities.

Description: Letter from Mary Moore to Linnet Moore in which she talks about the weather, Christmas preparations, visits to friends. Mary says she has a new range and prepared a coconut cake with it. Mary writes about the Christmas parties. She also says there was a rail road accident between McKinney and Castfork Bridge. She said that roughly 30 passengers were injured and two had died.

Description: Letter from Charles B. Moore to Bindie McGee Linnet Moore saying that he would be glad for Bindie and Linnet to come to visit and help Mary Moore. He says that Linnet has started a trip to Springfield to visit relatives. He writes about the difficulties with the rail road keeping workers. Willy had a tooth pulled. He sends news of the activities of friends and family. Charles relates that he purchased a plow. He give updates on the work around the house and the farm.

[Letter from Dinkie McGee to Mary and Charles B. Moore]

Description: Letter from Dinkie McGee to Mary and Charles Moore in which she discusses the weather, crops, visits to and from family and friends, and her garden of vegetables and flowers. She says that it is so hot that horses are dieing while plowing the fields. She mentions sending a sample of cloth that she is using in her sewing. The last page of the letter has the imprint of a check pattern.
