Production asymmetries in x{sub F} and P{sub t}{sup 2} for D{sup {+-}} mesons

Description: Non-zero asymmetries have been reported in x{sub f} distributions of leading and non-leading charmed mesons produced from hadronic beams. Production models have also been proposed that would explain these asymmetries and make predictions on how these asymmetries will depend on P{sub t}{sup 2}. Beam flavor dependence in the hadroproduction of D{sup {+-}} and D{sub s}{sup {+-}} mesons

Description: Fermilab E769, a fixed-target experiment conducted during the 1987--88 running period, yielded large numbers of charm particles. Through collisions of 250 GeV {pi}{sup {+-}}, K{sup {+-}}, and p on a multifoil target, E769 allows for studies of beam flavor dependence in the hadroproduction of charm. Charm production asymmetries at the Fermilab experiments

Description: I present asymmetries between the production of charm particles and anti-particles from Fermilab experiments, E687, E769 and E791. The results are shown as a function of x{sub F} and p{sub t}{sup 2} for D{sup {+-}} and D{sub s}{sup {+-}} mesons and for pion, kaon and photon beams and compared against current models. Results are also shown for a recent analysis of correlations between production of charm mesons and an associated pion. 14 refs., 5 figs., 3 tabs.

Opportunities for high-sensitivity charm physics at Fermilab

Description: The CO initiative under consideration at Fermilab makes feasible a charm experiment reconstructing >10{sup 9} charm decays, four orders - of magnitude beyond the largest extant sample. Time dependent B{sup 0} {anti B}{sup 0} mixing at CDF

Description: WE describe two measurements of {Delta}{ital m}{sub d}. The first uses {ital B} {r_arrow} {ital vlD}{sup (*)} events and a same-side flavor tagging algorithm. the second uses dilepton events. From the average of these two measurements we find {Delta}{ital m}{sub d} = 0. 466 {+-}0.037{+-} 0.031 ps{sup -1}.

Measurement of CP observables in B__ ->D_CPK__ decays and constraints on the CKM angle gamma

Description: Using the entire sample of 467 million {Upsilon}(4S) {yields} B{bar B} decays collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy B factory at SLAC, we perform a 'GLW' analysis of B{sup {+-}} {yields} D{sup {+-}} decays, using decay modes in which the neutral D meson decays to either CP-eigenstates or non-CP-eigenstates.
