Description: Recording of Gilles Gobeil's Derrière la porte la plus éloignée.... This work was commissioned by Arturo Parra, with the help of the CAC and the composer dedicates the piece to Oscar and Janine Wiggli. It premiered at the 15th Festival international de musique contemporaine de Victoriaville in Quebec. The composer based this piece off of images from a trip to Italy.

Description: Recording of Gilles Gobeil's Nuit cendre. Free adaptation of the fascinating images of the underground worlds from Journey to the Center of the Earth (1864) by Jules Verne (1828-1905). Ombres, espaces, silences

Description: Recording of Gilles Gobeil's Ombres, espaces, silences. This piece was inspired by the revisiting of the music of the first polyphonies (Ars Antiqua, Ars Nova). The composer chose to explore the Christian history of The Desert Fathers who isolated themselves in order to find the answer to human destiny. The sound worlds in this piece are meant to capture the history of these men. This recording includes 4 untitled movements.
