Description: This SAND report documents a late start LDRD designed to determine the possible aging effects of a quartz resonator gold adhesion layer. Sandia uses quartz resonators for applications. Tests of a tuner for a 325 MHz SRF spoke resonator

Description: Fermilab is developing 325 MHz SRF spoke cavities for the proposed Project X. Fundamental damper power calculation of the 56MHz SRF cavity for RHIC

Description: At each injection period during RHIC's operation, the beam's frequency sweeps across a wide range, and some of its harmonics will cross the frequency of the 56MHz SRF cavity. Description: Developing Superconducting RF (SRF) electron guns is an active field with several laboratories working on different gun designs. Multipacting Simulation on Half Wave Resonantor for Beta 0.53

Description: In the driver linac of the Facility for Rare Isotope Beams (FRIB), multipacting is an issue of concern for the superconducting resonators, which must accelerate the ion beams from 0.3 MeV per nucleon to 200 MeV per nucleon. Cryogenic sub-system for the 56 MHz SRF storage cavity for RHIC

Description: A 56 MHz Superconducting RF Storage Cavity is being constructed for the RHIC collider. This cavity is a quarter wave resonator that will be operated in a liquid helium bath at 4.4 K. Cerenkov Radiator Driven by a Superconducting RF Electron Gun

Description: The Naval Postgraduate School (NPS), Niowave, Inc., and Boeing have recently demonstrated operation of the first superconducting RF electron gun based on a quarter wave resonator structure. Compact QEPAS sensor for trace methane and ammonia detection in impure hydrogen

Description: A compact two-gas sensor based on quartz enhanced photoacoustic spectroscopy (QEPAS) was developed for trace methane and ammonia quantification in impure hydrogen.
