Remaining Sites Verification Package for the 600-243 Petroleum-Contaminated Soil Bioremediation Pad, Waste Site Reclassification Form 2007-033

Description: The 600-243 waste site consisted of a bioremediation pad for petroleum-contaminated soils resulting from the 1100 Area Underground Storage Tank (UST) upgrades in 1994. In accordance with this evaluation, the verification sampling results support a reclassification of this site to Interim Closed Out. The results of verification sampling show that residual contaminant concentrations do not preclude any future uses and allow for unrestricted use of shallow zone soils. Determination of S-112 and Mock Tank Electrical Resistivities using Numerical Forward and Inverse Solutions

Description: The purpose of this work is to establish the electrical similarity of the Mock Tank site to S-112 tank site to determine if the Mock Tank requires modifications for the tests this summer. We accomplish this objective by determining the effective electrical resistivity of S-112 and comparing it with that of the Mock Tank. We also compare the expected sensitivities under S-112 and Mock Tank assuming that long electrodes are used.

Feasibility Study on Using Two Mixer Pumps for Tank 241-AY-102 Waste Mixing

Description: The current waste retrieval plan at Hanford calls for using two mixer pumps to mix the waste stored in double-shell Tank 214-AY-102.
