Fear of Failure and Fear of Success: The Relationship of Achievement Motives to the Motor Performance of Males and Females

Description: The study was designed to determine the relationship between the psychological constructs of "fear of failure (FOF)" and "fear of success (FOS)" and motor performance in badminton. Forty-three males and fifty-one females in beginning badminton classes were administered the FOF and FOS scales, followed by three independent skills tests and a round-robin singles tournament. Adolescents' Attitudes Toward Mate Selection

Description: This study investigated the attitudes of sixty-four adolescents who completed an instrument designed to measure attitudes toward factors which influence mate selection. The hypotheses examined attitudes toward mate selection and gender, socioeconomic status, educational goals, family structure, and preferred age at marriage.
