Project CLEER: A study of the heat transfer characteristics of a capillary wetted surface

Description: An experimental program (Project Cleer) was initiated to investigate the heat transfer characteristics of a surface covered with a wick-like material and cooled by a capillary liquid. The preliminary heat transfer analyses developed and the measuring equipment and methods to be used are discussed. (LCL)

Washington State water quality temperature standards as related to reactor operation

Description: The purpose of this report is to provide a basic working tool for determining the relationship between the allowable temperature increase within the Columbia River reach at the Hanford Site and the actual temperature increase as associated with various reactor operating modes. This basic tool can be utilized for day-to-day operating purposes or for the achievement of historical information.

Graphite bar irradiation history, C-Reactor

Description: The following is all the information the authors can get on the graphite bar history from the A and G test holes at C-Reactor. The A test hole was charged with 18--23 1/2 inch long graphite bars before the original startup of C-Reactor. This was 6/12/53. On 9/21/63 seven of the graphite bars were discharged.
