Description: From introduction: The reconnaissance was made during the summer of 1951 by two field parties: (1) a reconnaissance in parts of Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona by Russell Gibson, and (2) Geological Survey reconnaissance in parts of New Mexico,.Colorado, Utah, Idaho, and Wyoming (by the writers), the results of which are summarized in this report.

Uranium Occurrences on the Merry Widow Claim, White Signal District, Grant County, New Mexico

Description: From abstract: The Merry Widow claim is near the center of sec. 22, T. 20 S., R, 15 W, New Mexico principal meridian, about 1 mile west of White Signal, Grant County, N. Mex. Secondary uranium minerals were discovered in the White Signal district in the early 1920's although several mines in the district had been worked previously for gold, silver, and copper. Description: The purpose of this study was to make an evaluation of the elementary school program of Carlsbad, New Mexico, so that as clear and accurate a picture as possible might be obtained of present practices, to compare these practices with acceptable educational information and philosophy of the present time, and to make recommendations for improving the school program. The results of the study should be beneficial to administrators and teachers alike in the improvement of the schools.
