Pulsed laser kinetic studies of liquids under high pressure

Description: A high pressure apparatus constructed for measuring the rates of reactions in liquids under pressures ranging from 1 atm to 2000 atm has been used to measure the complexation kinetics of molybdenum hexacarbonyl reacting with 2,2-bipyridine, 4,4{prime}-dimethyl-2-2{prime}-bipyridine and 4,4{prime}-diphenyl-2-2{prime} bipyridine in toluene. The RHIC Hydrogen Jet Luminescence Monitor

Description: A hydrogen jet polarimeter was developed for the RHIC accelerator to improve the process of measuring polarization. Defect reduction in (11-20) a-plane GaN by two step epitaxiallateral overgrowth

Description: We report a two-step growth method to obtain uniformly coalesced epitaxial lateral overgrown a-plane GaN by metal-organic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD). From Antenna to Assay: Lessons Learned in Lanthanide Luminescence

Description: Ligand-sensitized luminescent lanthanide(III) complexes are of considerable current interest due to their unique photophysical properties (micro- to millisecond lifetimes, characteristic and narrow emission bands, and large Stokes shifts), which make them well suited to serve as labels in fluorescence-based bioassays.
