Computer Dances

Description: Recording of Theresa Rampazzi's Computer Dances. This work is the result of Rampazzi's tone research applied to rhythms at different speeds. The signals at the beginning are slow moving in order to let the transformations of tone modulations to be perceived. Only towards the end the signals become shorter and very articulated; the number of which reach voices or "dancers" superimposed. The work is formed of 6 sections.

The form of "Klavierstuck IV" is a "free variation", in which musical motifs and motif groups are paired in a dactylic rhythm are changed with great development and falls of consonances and dissonances. It allows the user to transform one amplitude-modulated signal (double sideband without carrier) into another. Le Rêve d'Eurydice

Description: Recording of Jozef Rychlik's Le Rêve d'Eurydice. The sound material comes from two sources: the human voice (from the Polish singer, Olga Szwajgier) and the moog-synthesizer 35. These two worlds of expression meet here in the various situations, in effect composing a musical action that can be interpreted in two ways: Above all, like pure music, and also, like a scene from Euridice: "she wants to sing like orphé and ... She hopes that we have succeeded ..."
