Abstract: A sample of carnotite, thought to have been found in the Alaska Railroad belt, was assayed at the Fairbanks Assay Office in 1918, but the exact location from which the material had come was never determined. A "uranium" prospect, apparently unrelated to the carnotite occurrence, was recently staked 4 miles south of Healy.
