  • Content Description: This study analyzes the economic relations between Turkey and the European Economic Community (EEC) in the transition period of Turkey's membership in the Common Market. Turkey applied for membership in the EEC in 1959, and the association agreement was signed in 1963. Under the terms of the agreement Turkey's membership includes three stages; preparatory, transition, and full membership.
