discussed are just beginning} it is therefore suggested that
a study of this type be continued for the next several years
in order to trace the evolution of these changes. Special at-
tention should be given to the changing role of political par-
ties in Alabama since it appears at this time that a two-party
system is at last beginning to emerge in the state.
