Photograph of David Collins standing with two guests in front of a UNT and Mayborn backdrop. He is holding the first place plaque for the Literary Excellence award, which he received for his book manuscript "Accidental Texas Activists: Mark Phariss, Vic Holmes, and their Fight for Marriage Equality in the Lone Star State". The win granted him a provisional book contract with UNT Press and it was awarded to him at the Literary Lights Dinner during the Mayborn Literary Nonfiction Conference. The dinner was held in the International Ballroom at the Hilton DFW Lakes Executive Conference Center, Grapevine, TX.
