Self-Structure: Relationship with the Prediction of Behavior and Life History from Thematic Projections

Description: Slides of TAT cards 1 and 2 were shown to 87 college students asked to write stories about them. Subjects also ranked the importance of 5 attributes in understanding their personalities. Attribute scores from projections and centrality scores from rankings, for achievement and autonomy, were regressed onto college GPA, trail-making, and autonomy by life history. Relationship Between Intelligence as Determined by the California Test of Mental Maturity and Achievement in the Seventh Grade

Description: The problem of this study was to find ways of improving and enriching the curriculum through the use of the intelligence quotients obtained from the California Test of Mental Maturity. To reveal some of the needs of the curriculum and also to reveal the possibilities and limitations of testing for intelligence, statistical relationships between intelligence quotients and academic achievement as measured by both teacher marks and achievement tests were determined.

Description: The present research was an investigation of the effect of two methods of reporting pupil progress on adjustment and achievement of fourth grade pupils in a suburban elementary school. One method involved the use of an evaluation form reflecting performance in terms of ability, parent-teacher conferences, and work samples.
