HAR-Depth: A Novel Framework for Human Action Recognition Using Sequential Learning and Depth Estimated History Images

Description: This is the Accepted Manuscript version of an article that proposes HAR-Depth with sequential and shape learning along with the novel concept of depth history image (DHI) to address the challenges of Human action recognition (HAR). Results suggest that the proposed work of this paper performs better in terms of overall accuracy, kappa parameter and precision compared to the other state-of-the-art algorithms present in the earlier reported literature.

Harm Minimisation Drug Policy Implementation Qualities: Their Efficacy with Australian Needle and Syringe Program Providers and People Who Inject Drugs

Description: Article examines the implementation quality priorities of Needle and Syringe Program (NSP) providers and PWID (people who inject drugs) in an Australian setting. This research presents novel findings guiding NSP harm reduction programmes for sustainability framed on provider and consumer implementation quality priorities and envisages future studies on boundary conditions of NSP harm reduction implementation in other jurisdictions.

Harnessing nanofiber alignment and pore size to promote stem cell self-renewal and differentiation

Description: Article describes how stem cell therapy holds immense potential for regenerative medicine, but its applications are limited due to the loss of pluripotency during in vitro expansion. This study reveals that the arrangement of electrospun fibers aligns with the distribution and strength of the electric field through both experimentation and simulation.

Head Start and Families' Recovery From Economic Recession: Policy Recommendations for COVID-19

Description: This article examines whether the availability of Head Start during the Great Recession mitigated the impact of this crisis on poverty rates among families with young children. The findings provide clear, evidence-based policy recommendations. Increased federal funding for Head Start is needed to support families during a COVID-19 recession.
