An investigation was made of Cosmotron intensity versus time through the entire time interval from the beginning of injection to the completion of r-f capture. The induction electrode signal was used for the instantaneous measurement of beam intensity. Oscilloscope displays of the signal were photographed and traced. Base lines were filled in on the tracings and the area of the pulses measured with a polar planimeter.
