[Transcript: A Paris Journal]

Description: Edited transcript of a diary kept by Bill Nelson, Jr. from January 31 to August 2, 1971 while he was living in Paris, France for eight months in his early twenties. The original handwritten diary has been transcribed and images of subjects mentioned are embedded in the text. In the diary Nelson details his sightseeing trips in France, as well as his romantic and sexual encounters with men.

Description: A scrapbook full of the materials surrounding Bill Nelson being reprimanded for wearing a March on Washington t-shirt and being featured in This Week In Texas, an LGBT publication, Volume 5 Number 25 from September 14 through 20, 1979. The photograph that initiated the controversy is on page 31 of the scrapbook and the letter of reprimand he received for it begins on 51.
