Description: This brief report demonstrates findings related to the effects of maleic hydrazide (MH) on Paramecium aurelia. Description: Dextran is produced in a fermentation process by a bacterium that requires sucrose for its growth, but only the glucose portion of the sucrose molecule is utilized in building up the large dextran molecule.
