Penelope's Song

Description: Recording of Judith Shatin's Penelope's Song. This piece is a tribute to Penelope, Queen of Ithaca and wife of Odysseus. The original version was composed for viola and electronics; however, since the work's premiere, the composer has created versions of this piece for various instruments, each played by collaborating performers. The composer thanks Rozanna Weinberger and Laura Wilcox for their insights and interpretations.
