Three and four center unimolecular elimination reactions of HCl have been investigated for CHF{sub 2}Cl, CHFCL{sub 2}, CH{sub 3}CCl{sub 3}, CH{sub 3}CF{sub 2}Cl and in a molecular beam experiment using infrared multiphoton absorption to energize the molecule.
