Description: Detailed descriptions are given of the apparatus designed and assembled at Mound Laboratory for the investigation of the density, viscosity, surface tension and vapor pressure of aqueous uranyl sulfite solutions at temperatures up to 250'C and pressures up to 2,500 pounds per square inch.

The Preparation Of High-Purity Thorium By The Iodide Process

Description: The preparation of massive thorium of high purity, in lots of several hundred grams each, by the van Arkel - de Boer (iodide) process is described. Substantial reduction in the nonmetallic content of the deposits over that of the feed material was obtained. Optimum conditions for deposition were determined.
