Conscientious Objection and the Constitution: "Welsh v. United States" and Beyond

Description: This report discusses the Supreme Court case "Welsh v. United States" which considered the question of what constituted a religious belief that merited recognition as a conscientious objector. A judicial history of cases related to conscientious objection, analysis of the "Welsh" case, and Congressional options for dealing with the question of conscientious objection requirements are included.

Development of alternative oxygen production source using a zirconia solid electrolyte membrane

Description: The objective of this multiyear effort was the development, fabrication and testing of a zirconia oxygen production module capable of delivering approximately 100 liters/minute (LPM) of oxygen. The work discussed in this report consists of development and improvement of the zirconia cell along with manufacture of cell components, preliminary design of the final plant, additional economic analysis and industrial participation. The Effects of Two Types of Group Counseling Procedures with Junior College Students

Description: The problem with which this investigation was concerned was to measure personal adjustment, emotional adjustment, home adjustment, and self-concept changes that took place in junior college students as a result of one-counselor group counseling and male-and-female co-counselor group counseling. The rationale for male-and-female co-counselor group counseling relied on the formation of a simulated family in which individuals could socialize their feelings.
