Galveston Area (ARMS-II)

Description: Report describing an Aerial Radiological Measuring Survey (ARMS) of the Galveston Area between Jan. 27 and Feb. 17, 1962. The survey was part of a nationwide program to measure present environmental levels of gamma radiation. Aerial measurements of ground radioactivity were consistent everywhere with what was expected considering the geology of the area.

Ethnocentrism and Perceptual Ambiguity

Description: Social scientists have been concerned for quite some time with the relationship between tolerance of perceptual ambiguity and ethnocentrism. Some investigations have approached the problem by utilizing ambiguous visual designs. It is the purpose of this research to add a new dimension to these studies by employing different types of visual figures and investigating relationships between perception and ethnocentrism.

A Study of Depth Perception Among Brain-injured, Familial and Idiopathic Mentally Retarded Subjects

Description: In light of the conflicting data regarding depth perception and the retardate, it was the purpose of this study to reinvestigate whether or not significant differences exist in depth perceptual abilities among mental retardates. A standard depth perception apparatus was utilized to test the groups of brain-injured, familial and idiopathic subjects.

Factors Associated with Success in the Doctor of Education Program at North Texas State University

Description: The purpose of this study was to determine the significance of certain factors relating to successful completion of the program by students in the Doctor of Education program at North Texas State University. Specifically, these factors were determined by a screening of judgments of North Texas State University graduates who had successfully completed the program, students engaged in the program, and from analysis of the factors derived from student records and research in related studies.
