Di-n-butyl phenylphosphonate (DBPP) and di-sec-butyl phenylphosphonate (DSBPP) were investigated as possible substitutes for tri-n-butyl phosphate (TBP), the reagent presently employed in the reprocessing of uranium and thorium nuclear reactor fuels.
