Biocultural conservation trail system reduces bryophyte richness but not diversity in the southernmost forest of the world.
Description:
This poster seeks to predict how a trail expansion might impact bryophyte communities using various methods to measure soil nutrient content and bryophyte diversity. Authors assert that ecotourism may negatively impact bryophyte communities and suggest long-term observational studies to monitor changes after trail development. It was presented at the UNT Research Day on October 4, 2024 in Denton, Texas.
