Chandra and Magellan/FIRE follow-up observations of PSO167–13: An X-ray weak QSO at z = 6.515

Description: This article presents the results of follow-up observations of the z = 6.515 radio-quiet QSO PSO167–13, which is interacting with a close companion galaxy with the goal to confirm the existence of the X-ray source and to investigate the rest-frame UV properties of the QSO. The authors observed the PSO167–13 system with Chandra/ACIS-S (177 ks) and obtained new spectroscopic observations (7.2 h) with Magellan/FIRE.

Magnetobound positronium and protonium

Description: This article investigates the formation of magnetobound positronium and protonium via classical trajectory simulations of binary point charge interactions in an external magnetic field. The results of computer simulations of the fully three-dimensional trajectories of classical and non-relativistic point charges with the same mass, equal charge magnitude, and opposite sign are reported. Coupling of Surface Plasmon Polariton in Al-Doped ZnO with Fabry-Pérot Resonance for Total Light Absorption

On social sensitivity to either zealot or independent minorities

Description: This article uses the self-organized temporal criticality (SOTC) model to identify the timing of crucial events as a new mechanism with which to generate criticality, thereby establishing a way for the internal dynamics of the decision making process to suppresss the sensitivity of social opinion to either zealot or independent minorities.
