Complexity synchronization in living matter: a mini review

Description: This article asserts that fractal time series have been argued to be ubiquitous in human physiology and some of the implications of that ubiquity are remarkable. One consequence of the omnipresent fractality is complexity synchronization (CS) observed in the interactions among simultaneously recorded physiologic time series discussed herein.

Thermal Stress Has Minimal Effects on Bacterial Communities of Thermotolerant Symbiodinium Cultures

Description: Article comparing the microbial communities of three isolates from different species of the genus Symbiodinium (formerly known as Symbiodinium clade A) with different ecophysiology, levels of interaction with the animal host, and thermal adaptations. Results suggest that bacteria associated or co-cultured with thermotolerant Symbiodinium might play an important role in thermotolerance.

Five-Year Program for Federal Offshore Oil and Gas Leasing: Status and Issues in Brief

Description: This report summarizes developments in the offshore oil leasing 2017-2022 program and considers selected congressional issues and actions related to the program. President Trump issued an executive order on April 28, 2017, directing the Secretary of the Interior to review and consider revising the 2017-2022 program. The 115th Congress could influence the five-year program by enacting legislation to alter the program, as well as by conducting oversight.
