Latent Class Analysis Offers Insight into the Complex Food Environments of Native American Communities: Findings from the Randomly Selected OPREVENT2 Trial Baseline Sample

Description: The article describes the subgroups and demographic characteristics related to NA household food environments. Surveys collected food getting, food assistance, and sociodemographic variables from randomly selected adults from three NA communities (n = 300) in the Midwest and Southwest. The roles of stress, self-distraction and behavioral disengagement: Perceived stigma in HIV-positive individuals

Description: Paper on denial, daily hassles, and health distress in HIV positive individuals. The authors' findings are important from a therapeutic perspective, and suggest that experiencing hassles and choosing to use denial as a coping strategy are associated with more health distress.

Structural equation modeling of the associations between amygdala activation, personality, and internalizing, externalizing symptoms of psychopathology

Description: Article examining how amygdala activation to facial expressions was linked with self-report of personality traits and clinical interviews of internalizing and externalizing symptoms of psychopathology. Structural equation modeling results revealed direct associations of amygdala activation with personality trait expression, as well as indirect associations (though personality) with symptoms of psychopathology.
