Description: Stacking, compression, and welding of the laminations for the TeV I Large Bore Quad results in a deformation due to springback which is unacceptable due to magnetic field requirements. ANSYS has been used to analyze a solution to this problem.

Adaptation of jet accumulation techniques for enhanced rock cutting

Description: The velocity of water jet flow can be increased when the jet impacts a target material or another water jet. A theory describing such augmentation in terms of velocity, mass, and energy change is considered. The phenomena is sensitive to jet structure and the jet velocity profile. HOPI: on-line injection optimization program

Description: A method of matching the beam from the 200 MeV linac to the AGS without the necessity of making emittance measurements is presented. An on-line computer program written on the PDP10 computer performs the matching by modifying independently the horizontal and vertical emittance. Experimental results show success with this method, which can be applied to any matching section.

Steady State Flammable Gas Release Rate Calculation and Lower Flammability Level Evaluation for Hanford Tank Waste
