Factors Affecting Post-Divorce Child Adjustment and the Impact of Family Financial Status

Description: Data from the National Survey of Households and Families were used to study the factors previous research identified as affecting post-divorce child adjustment. Responses from 358 divorced parents with custody of children under age 12 were analyzed. Special attention was paid to the effect of family financial status. The Metal-Organic Chemical Vapor Deposition of Cu(II)-bishexafluoroacetylacetonate on a Tungsten Substrate

Description: Evidence is reported for the formation of carbon-containing contamination products at the copper-tungsten (Cu-W) interface during the metal organic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD) of copper on tungsten. Cu(II)bishexafluoroacetylacetonate [Cu(hfac)_2] was physisorbed onto lightly oxidized tungsten (WO_x) at 115K, under ultra-high vacuum conditions, and then annealed sequentially to higher temperatures. "Eyre," a Three Movement Instrumental Work for Small Chamber Ensemble

Job Rating and Satisfaction of Radio Station General Managers in the Institutional Climate of Deregulation

Description: This study tested the job satisfaction of major market radio station general managers in the aftermath of deregulation. The study consisted of two phases, a quantitative, anonymous, mail survey utilizing the nationally recognized Job Descriptive Index (JDI); and a qualitative follow-up telephone interview. Description: A survey testing student uses of and attitudes towards traditional broadcast television news and eleven "tabloid" programs was conducted using 300 students enrolled at the University of North Texas. A Kinetic Study of the Recombination Reacton Na + SOā‚‚ + Ar

Description: The recombination reaction Na + S02 + Ar was investigated at 787 16 K and at pressures from 1.7 to 80 kPa. NaI vapor was photolyzed by an excimer laser at 308 nm to create Na atoms, whose concentration was monitored by time-resolved resonance absorption at 589 nm. The rate constant at the low pressure limit is ko = (2.7 0.2) x 10-21 cm6 molecule-2 s~1. The Na-SO 2 dissociation energy E0 = 170 35 kJ mol1 was calculated with RRKM theory. Sensitive Microtiter Assays for NAD, NADP and Protein Quantification in Human Lymphocytes

Description: Intracellular levels of NAD are of renewed interest in clinical and basic science research due to the new discovery of enzymes which utilize NAD as a substrate. Microtiter assays for the determination of NAD, NADP and protein were developed as modifications of previously published methods. The resulting assays are simple, cost effective and sensitive. Prediction of the Job Performance of Restaurant Workers Using a Service Orientation Measure

Description: Service orientation has been suggested to be a work-related behavioral trait that contributes toward overall job performance in certain occupations. An Employee Participation Change Project and Its Impact on the Organization: a Case Study

Description: The purpose of this study was to document and assess the consequences of implementing employee involvement in a manufacturing setting. Molecular Cloning and Functional Analysis of Transposable Mercury Resistance Genes Encoded by the OCT Plasmid

Description: Translocation of a 17.1 kilobase region of the OCT plasmid encoding mercury resistance (mer) in Pseudomonas putida was shown to occur in a recombination-deficient host with plasmid PP1 serving as a recipient replicon. Ka: a Composition for Chamber Orchestra in One Movement

Description: Ka is a one movement composition for chamber orchestra consisting of three sections. The work's harmonic, melodic and rhythmic materials are derived from the Chinese I Ching ("Book of Changes").
