The Position of Texas in the Relations Between the United States and Mexico from 1876 to 1910

Description: "The purpose of this study was to show the position of Texas in the relations between the United States and Mexico from 1876 to 1910. With this thought in mind, the general problem has been to link the two countries through Texas. The Texas border relations between the United States and Mexico during this period were interesting because they showed the continued success of the efforts of the past years in building up better principles of settlement. Geometry as the Structural Basis of Composition in Paintings by Botticelli

Description: Fewer geometrical analyses have been made of paintings than of any other group of works of art. For this reason ten paintings by a typical Florentine painter, Botticelli, were chosen by the author in order to find out; first, the extent to which geometrical divisions were used in determining the enclosing rectangles and the main lines of the composition; second, whether or not the same geometrically determined relationships were used by Botticelli frequently enough to be considered an important… more

Some Factors Involved in the Adoption of Children

Description: This study is made from a practical standpoint. I shall endeavor to answer some of the questions that may arise in the minds of prospective parents as they consider the adoption of a child. There are many questions that will not be answered because the problems involved are so broad and take in so many angles that it is impossible to consider them all. The central problem itself begins when prospective adoptive parents first consider adopting a child.

The Need for Co-Operation Among Independent Food Retailers of Denton, Texas

Such co-ordination largely has taken three courses: (1) group buying clubs, (2) wholesale- sponsored voluntary chains, and (3) retailer-owned co-operative warehouses. A Stylistic Analysis of Béla Bartók's "Mikrokosmos"

In the six volumes of the Mikrokosmos, or "little world," Bartok has presented a series of progressively … more
