Nunataq

The name of this work comes from an old Inuit myth and is Greenlandic in origin; it describes a mountain ridge sticking out of a continental iceberg. While standing in Piazza Saffi, the composer heard church bells around the city and had a strong sense of experiencing the sounds as something resonant of the place and its history. A poem by E. E.
